Linda Jackson, Court Reporter

I grew up in Griffin, Georgia and graduated from  Griffin High School and Griffin Technical School.  After various moves around the U.S.  and attending classes in South Carolina and Hawaii, I began my  court reporting curriculum at the California School of Court Reporting in Santa Ana, California.

After graduating I relocated  to the Atlanta, Georgia area and began my freelance career as a court reporter.  Currently I hold the designations of Georgia Certified Court Reporter and Registered Professional Reporter.

I also serve as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate)volunteer for children in foster care situations for the Alcovy CASA office.

I have two daughters, Christina and Michelle, and I am married to Nicholas Santopietro, Director of Sales for Brother International.

June-July 2008

I would like to share  my Summer of 2008 experience at a Russian Orphanage.

Although it has little to do with court reporting, I have worked as a court reporter in Juvenile Court where I learned about the ins-and-outs of our U.S. system for children who end up in abusive situations with nowhere to go.

I saw, firsthand, the situations that parents would find themselves in due to drugs, alcohol, abuse, and many other situations that befall us in the United States.

This summer I learned a little bit of what happens to the children in Russia in similar circumstances.

If you would like to see some of the beautiful children that I got to know, here is my video that I put together:
